Your programme, step by step

Departure from Marrakech, three nights at camp, two days of rafting and return to Marrakech on day four. Timings, meals and logistics are specified when confirming.

Durations are approximate. The programme may be adapted to river conditions.

Day 1

Your stay begins in Marrakech, with the journey towards Msfrane. Leave the city behind as the Atlas Mountains come into view. On arrival in the valley, meet our team, learn how the stay will unfold and settle into camp beside the Ahansal River.

Put down your bags and settle into the tents. After the drive, take time to rest, sit near the water and get to know the group. The river, mountains and camp surroundings set the pace for this first day.

In the evening, gather for dinner and discuss the next day: equipment, useful items on the water and the luggage needed for the overnight camp. Spend your first night at base camp before the first rafting day.

Day 2

Wake up at camp for breakfast, then get ready for the descent. We distribute protective clothing and equipment, help you adjust helmets and life jackets and organise luggage for the night away from base camp. Transport takes you to Amougr, where the Melloul and Ahansal rivers meet.

On the riverbank, gather around your guide for the briefing. Learn where to sit, how to hold your paddle, paddle together and respond to commands. Once everyone is ready, board the rafts and begin the Ahansal descent.

The river becomes your route. Work together through livelier stretches, then look around during calmer sections. The rafts enter magnificent gorges stretching for kilometres, beneath high rock walls. Every bend reveals a new view, with narrow passages opening again towards the mountains.

Stop on the bank for lunch and a rest, then return to the rafts. The team adapts breaks and pace to conditions and the group. At the end of the stage, leave the water and settle into the overnight bivouac. Change out of wet clothes, settle into your tent, have dinner and rest. Your second night is spent at this riverside stage camp before continuing in the morning.

Day 3

Start the morning at the bivouac with breakfast. Pack the bags and tents, leave the site clean and prepare the equipment. Put your protective gear back on and return to the rafts: your second day of paddling continues down the Ahansal towards Bin El Ouidane.

Follow your guide between mountains and cliffs. The gorges extend for kilometres and the scenery changes as you move downstream: rock walls close to the rafts, natural banks and wider stretches revealing the surrounding peaks. Share the paddling, follow commands and enjoy quieter moments to take in the landscape.

Rest and lunch stops follow the group’s progress. Continue towards Bin El Ouidane through the Sidi Youssef area. River and lake levels determine the final paddling point and last transfer arrangements, which the team confirms according to conditions.

At the finish, leave the rafts and collect equipment and luggage. Transport takes you back to base camp in Msfrane. After two days on the river and a night at the stage camp, return to the first camp to rest and share memories. Spend your third night here before the journey to Marrakech.

Day 4

Wake up at base camp and have breakfast before the agreed departure time. Pack your bags and check the tents so nothing is left behind, then say goodbye to the team and the place where the trip began.

Travel from Msfrane back to Marrakech, with departure time and stops coordinated with the group. The stay ends in Marrakech after four days and three nights, including two rafting days and one night at the stage camp.

The programme is available for a minimum of four participants at 4,000 DH per person. When booking, we confirm the Marrakech meeting point, timing, meals and luggage arrangements.
