Day 01 · Friday evening

Welcome to the Ahansal River

After travelling from your city, you have dinner on the road at your own convenience. We then welcome your group to our wild campsite near the Ahansal River, where you can settle in for your first night surrounded by mountains, flowing water and a starry sky.

Enjoy the quiet evening and get ready for your first morning in Msfrane. Friday dinner is not part of the package; guests arrange it during the journey.

Day 02 · Saturday

Reach the summit of Jebel Msfrane your way

A full day of mountain views, lunch at camp, unhurried riverside time and an optional cultural evening.

Day 02 · Saturday

Reach the summit of Jebel Msfrane your way

Following breakfast at camp, it is time for Jebel Msfrane (1,868 m). Those who enjoy walking can follow the mountain trail on a hike of about 5 hours round trip, with open Atlas panoramas.

Prefer a shorter approach? An optional 4×4 transfer costs 500 MAD for a vehicle carrying up to 15 people. It drives you higher along the track, leaving approximately 40 minutes on foot to the summit. Choose the approach that suits your group.

Saturday · Lunch & free afternoon

Lunch, river walks and a famous old truck

Back at the campsite—whether on foot or by 4×4—your group enjoys lunch. The afternoon is yours: stroll beside the river, rest in the shade, or visit the famous old truck near Msfrane, a much-photographed local landmark.

There is no need to rush from one activity to another. This is time to slow down and enjoy the place together.

Dinner and an optional Amazigh Ahidous show

The group meets again for dinner at camp. You can add a traditional Ahidous performance for 600 MAD, featuring collective songs, rhythms and dances from the region’s Amazigh heritage.

The performance is optional and should be arranged in advance. Afterwards, enjoy your second camping night under the Atlas stars.

Day 03 · Sunday morning

Follow the Ahansal Gorges trail

Sunday takes you through the Ahansal Gorges to Oukhodene Waterfalls before a final lunch at camp.

Day 03 · Sunday morning

Follow the Ahansal Gorges trail

After the second breakfast, the day takes you toward the gorges of the Ahansal River. Walk the approach or take an optional 4×4 transfer for 400 MAD, which shortens some of the track.

The vehicle does not reach the gorges themselves: expect about 1 hour 30 minutes of walking after the drop-off. The remaining route leads through dramatic rock walls and riverside landscapes.

Another 20 minutes to Oukhodene Waterfalls

From the gorges, continue walking for around 20 minutes to reach the natural Oukhodene (Wakoudene) Waterfalls. The water is famously very cold; some visitors find even a few seconds in it difficult. Enjoy the views and avoid unsafe swimming.

On the return, you can visit the old truck if you missed it on Saturday. Back at camp, enjoy Sunday lunch before heading home.

Two nights by the river, trails you choose yourself, and time together in nature: that’s what this weekend is really about.
